THIS MOTOR WAS SOLD IN DEC 2012 TO A CUSTOMER IN MISSOURI
This was one of the Winter 2012 Collection being offered by F&A.
This listing ws for a classic 1953 Wizard 6 hp model WG 4, Serial number 572397 in color correct Wizard Green with accents and trim non factory polished instead of painting the original Dull Aluminum. This motor was manufactured in March of 1953. This was owned by a gentlemen in North-Central, Ohio. It has only seen fresh water, and was last used in the 1950's. It was stored high and dry and was very clean for its age when we found it. It had been stored correctly because the tank was clean and varnish free, yet the cylinders and interior components were all well coated with lubricants.

Tank support and controls were polished, and tank was flushed clean, repainted with Reprotint Wizard Green, then clear coated before and after decals applied. Prop, and all brass, copper and select metal accents were polished.
This Vintage outboard is just shy of 60 years old but looks like it was just unpacked from the factory. This motor is museum quality and additionally comes with reproduction owners manual, parts list, warranty card, dealer tags, and tool kit.
This WG 4 runs as good as it looks. It idles perfect, pumps water perfectly and is a suberb piece of American engineering. It would make an excellent companion to a 10 -12 foot vintage boat or or as a standout attraction on a newer boat. Whichever you prefer, this motor is very, very nice.
Are there imperfections? Yes of course. Just as the motors came from the factory with minor bruises, unsanded areas, overspray in engine compartment, etc. we too have left these types of blemishes to add the final touch of authenticity to the finished product.
THE STAND WAS NOT INCLUDED AND WAS USED TO SUPPORT MOTOR FOR PHOTOS ONLY !
